Job description
Job description: The Director will be responsible for the strategic planning, budgeting and implementation of this fundraising campaign in order to grow at a quantum level over the next three years. The position manages a staff of four employees. The position will work under the direct supervision of the Deputy Executive Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, direct and implement all aspects of the Light The Night® walk campaign to achieve revenue goals.
  • Ensure growth through development and implementation of key programmatic elements to maximize expansion of core markets.
  • Develop, direct and manage event staff, volunteer leadership and committees.
  • Identify target audiences and build appropriate marketing and monitoring strategies to successfully recruit, acknowledge, and retain event donors/participants.
  • Lead planning and budgeting process. Manage budget and control expenses to effectively meet and exceed income goals. Facilitate comprehensive campaign records, evaluations and reports.
  • Support and maintain a working knowledge of the Society’s mission and its programs.
  • Develop department plans with timelines to ensure implementation.
Req. candidate profile : Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible and related experience with a minimum of 3-4 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of personalities and leadership styles.
  • Highly professional demeanor. Familiar with developing, maintaining, and utilizing partnerships.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Strong follow-up and implementation.
  • High-level volunteer management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience putting on major fundraising Special Events
  • Enthusiastic, goal-oriented and committed to excellence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to make public presentations.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage to a budget
  • Flexible to travel and work early/evening hours, and some weekends.
