The Youth Outreach Director will report directly to the President of Global Glimpse and will be responsible for:
Identifying and recruiting Global Glimpse Scholars and
Implementing and driving after-school leadership workshops.
The scholar recruiting responsibility will begin in the Fall and involve engaging high schools and educators to identify students who would be interested in / qualified for participating in the Global Scholar Program. Once these prospective Scholars are identified, the Youth Outreach Director will generate interest among the student group, screen them through applications and interviews, and recommend Scholar selection to the Admissions committee.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Scholar Recruiting
Develop and execute school outreach strategy and marketing plan to generate interest among high schools, educators, and students for the Global Scholar program.
Marketing Strategy plan elements should include:
Target list of high schools and their respective contacts
Methods for reaching out the schools
Marketing materials that promote the program and resonate with the target audience
Schedule for outreach
Foster relationships with Principals, vice-principals, teachers, counselors, school board to bring schools into the Global Glimpse program
Coordinate with school sponsors to identify Global Scholar candidates
Conduct initial seminar to introduce the Global Scholar program to interested schools/students
Drive the student selection process through review of applications and interview of potential candidates
Leadership Workshops
Identify school sponsors who will deliver after-school leadership workshops and support schools as necessary. Each school has four 2 hour workshops.
Work with school sponsors to develop the appropriate leadership training
Monitor the school sponsors performance on leadership workshops to ensure consistency with curriculum and report inconsistencies to President.

Creative thinking to develop marketing and sales material for school and student outreach
High level of organization and attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to drive their own work with little direction
Excellent sales and people skills building personal relationships with all types and levels of educators
Minimum of a Bachelors degree and at least 2 years of experience, preferably in teaching, curriculum development, and/or marketing and sales.
