Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested, and available Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for an opportunity located in Warren, New Jersey OR Columbus, Ohio.

KNOWLEDGE
Applies advanced principles, theories and concepts along with providing highly innovative solutions for unusually complex problems. Studies often result in new products, product lines or patents.

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY
Works on unusually complex problems and provides cost-effective solutions that are highly creative.

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Technically responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.
-Plans and develops engineering projects with unique or controversial problems which impact major company programs.
-Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, novel concepts and approaches.
-Maintains liaison with individuals and units within or outside organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters.
-Performs RF/Wireless engineering assignments that typically involve the design, development, evaluation, modification and analysis techniques resulting in new/updated components or products.
-Project areas may include RF front end, power amplifier, frequency converter, modulator/demodulator, RF synthesizer, splitter/combiners, filters, cable and connector and antenna design.
-Tasks will also include simulation, microwave path analysis, interference and spurious analysis, and validation of designs.
-Develops and executes product testing and integration plans for new/updated products.

FREEDOM TO ACT WITHIN TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE
-Provides strategic technical direction to the company;
-Supervision received is administrative with assignments given in terms of general objectives and limits;
-Evaluates progress and results obtained;
-Recommends major changes to achieve objectives; and
-Involved in developing less senior professionals by being a mentor.

IMPACT
Sustained history of bringing technical innovation to the company and its products. Gains recognition within industry as evidenced by publications, patents, etc.

COMMUNICATION
Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
-Master’s degree in electrical engineering; actively pursuing Ph.D.;
-Ten (10) plus years of work experience in the RF design field;
-Must possess excellent oral, written and presentational skills;
-Capable of positively mentoring and guiding less experienced talent;
-Proven track record of contacting, influencing and negotiating with both internal and external individuals on complex issues; and
-Must be able to respond to inquiries and complaints of a highly complex nature with tact and diplomacy.
-Experience in wireless receiver and transceiver design for cellular communication networks.
