Job description: The Tuolumne River Trust promotes the stewardship of the Tuolumne River and its tributaries to ensure a healthy watershed, from Yosemite National Park to the San Joaquin River and the San Francisco Bay-Delta.

The Tuolumne River Trust has an opening for an Administrative and Finance Director. Working with the Bookkeeper and Executive Director, this individual will coordinate and help implement fiscal administration, human resource and office management activities. This is a great opportunity to join a motivated team working to take an organization to the next level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping and financial management duties including processing donations, bank and credit card reconciliations, bank deposits, staff expense report management, cash management, month end close of books and assistance with financial reporting on foundation and government grants.
  • Accounts Payable duties, including, but not limited to, processing invoices and entering them into accounting software.
  • Human resources duties including management of the Trust’s time tracking system, PTO tracking, employee benefit package management, and organizational insurance management.
  • Tax and organization identification management including monitoring renewal dates and filing processes; not to include yearly tax form preparation.
  • Office administrative support such as answering phones, managing supplies, managing incoming/outgoing mail, filing, copying, preparation of complex mailings, vendor relations and office upkeep.
Req. candidate profile : Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years experience in finance and administration.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills, well-organized, self-starter, detail-oriented, flexible, and a quick learner with the ability to multi-task and manage both routine and complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional and pleasant demeanor, positive attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and Word, QuickBooks and the internet.
  • An interest in rivers and an environmental ethic.
  • Experience with grant financial management considered a plus!
