Working in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Director and appropriate Illinois unit outreach personnel, implement sales and internet techniques to generate new institutional memberships for the regional market centers.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize Pivotal to identify public K-12 institutional prospects in Illinois market centers
Identify public and private colleges in same geographic area
Implement appropriate telephone and internet sales approaches and techniques to build school accounts throughout the state
Communicate with prospective clients and the outreach staff to be certain that all prospects receive timely, in-person follow-up.
Work with HQ and Unit to identify and initiate local partnerships to build awareness and revenue in the market center
Monitor and control sales expenses.
Demonstrate effective teamwork
Work closely with appropriate outreach personnel to develop, confirm, and present quotes and proposals to institutional prospects.
Keep abreast of all sales promotions and products
Req. candidate profile :
Skills and Education Required:
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years telephone sales experience; educational sales experience a plus
Experience with account management and needs-based consultative selling techniques
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Excellent oral skills. Ability to persuade and influence others.
Proven track record achieving objectives
PC literate with experience in Microsoft Office Suite
