Environment America is hiring financial staff to work along with our other administrative staff to ensure all campaign operations run smoothly and to provide support to the 500 campaign staff working across the country.
Specific responsibilities of the financial staff include:
Personnel and payroll:
Maintain personnel records
Process payroll for 500 staff
Work with our payroll vendor
Handle monthly and quarterly payroll tax payments
Implement and manage health insurance benefits
Financial operations:
Maintain the organization’s financial records
Use QuickBooks to handle the organization’s accounts payables
Bill and track accounts receivable
Handle deposits, bank reconciliations and other financial tasks
Tracking and reporting:
Produce necessary financial reports
Aid in budget tracking and monitoring
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
We seek highly motivated individuals with a strong commitment to the public interest; the ambition and ability to take broad responsibility for an entire department; an attention to detail and a willingness to solve problems; strong written and verbal skills; Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks is a plus as well as using Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer programs.
