Corporate Relations (optional, depending on your chapter’s structure):
Assist with defining cash sponsorship levels and benefits and corporate cash underwriting for mass-market events to meet budgeted sponsorship goals
Identify and research prospective underwriting prospects
Develop relationships with corporate human resources departments (or other appropriate department/personnel) to encourage employee involvement
Assist with ensuring sponsorship commitments are fulfilled

Maintain a portfolio of the Chapter’s team captains
Recruit and cultivate new teams
Provide exceptional team captain customer service

Prepare communication materials for team captains
Regular e-communication to current team captains
Prepare team captain stores for other chapter and event publications
Create annual team publications, such as the Team Brochure and Team Captain’s Handbook
Plan team kick-off events and team captain meetings
Plan Team Week and Blitz Day strategies
Designate chapter goals and objectives
Plan the theme, projects, communications and incentive programs
Create and publish marketing materials, obtain prizes and organize staff volunteers
Plan team captain post-event recognition and support
Use creativity to improve team strategies for the cultivation and recruitment of team captains and teams for mass-market events
Coach volunteers on cultivation strategies
Assist with creating the budget for team recruitment and cultivation activities
Maintain accurate, organized and centralized records and files
Perform other duties as assigned
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
Prior experience in event planning, volunteer management, marketing, sales or public relations. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with tri-state corporate community helpful. The Manager of Corporate and Community Relations is responsible for cultivating and managing corporate relations and strategic corporate partnership efforts to significantly grow the Long Island Chapter mass-market campaigns (Walk MS and Bike MS).
