The Events Coordinator will provide professional expertise in the planning and implementation of all School events, including the monthly class residencies, Open Houses, Venture Showcase, Commencement, as well as external recruiting events such as trade shows and conferences; will work closely with the marketing and admissions staff and other members of the School community to plan high quality events and functions; will help to identify and facilitate discussion and decisions about issues affecting events; and will ensure that high standards, proper branding and school-wide priorities are reflected in the planning and presentation of events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute, along with the Operations Manager, logistics for the monthly class residencies for both the MBA and Executive programs as well as communicate all changes and updates to the student/faculty/staff community.
- Remain on-site for the monthly residencies to set-up and breakdowns class AV equipment and solve technical and facilities-related problems as they arise.
- Coordinate and execute, along with the Marketing & Admissions Directors, various events, including the Open Houses, new student orientations and external recruiting events. Represent the School at internal and external events locally and nationally.
- Coordinate and execute the annual Commencement Ceremony and bi-annual Venture Showcase events with 200-500 distinguished guests, Board, and student/faculty/staff community. Work with outside vendors to plan and produce a sophisticated and well run event program and operation.

Desired Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a proven track record of at least 2-3 years experience in event coordination and an understanding of nonprofit environments. He or she must have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; excellent written and oral communications skills; and the ability to thrive as part of a team and work well independently. Other key characteristics include being highly organized, promptly responding to all inquiries and having an understanding of current marketing practices. He or she should have experience working with A/V equipment. The ideal candidate should have an interest in sustainable management and green events. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and be able to lift at least 45 pounds, have a vehicle and driver's license. Evening and weekend work as well as travel will be required.
