Responsibilities:
The Vocational Counselor is responsible for the complete implementation of the program.
Provide instruction of the vocational/Life skill classes. Coordinate/provide transportation needs for all participants in the program.
Administration of vocational/educational assessments.
Liaison with tutors, mentors, counselors and academic assistance.
Outreaches too recruit eligible participants into the program.
Documentation and case management of all training, contacts with youth and collaboration efforts.
Ensure that outcome measures are maintained and that appropriate follow up occurs.
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
Required 2 years of vocational and WIA experience.
Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
Required experience working with at risk youth population. 15yrs- 20yrs.
Required knowledge of vocational testing and assessments.
Knowledge of county systems, linkages and collaborations is preferred.
Must have a valid California Drivers License.
