The Metropolitan Calgary Foundation (MCF), a not for profit
organization providing affordable housing for seniors,
is offering a Part- Time Evening Assistant position in its Confederation Park Lodge.
Reporting directly to the Evening Supervisor, the Evening Assistant is responsible for assisting with the overall cleaning and service requirements of the Lodge.
You would be working two 7 hour weekday shifts alternating with every other weekend OR Fr Sat Sun Tu with 9 days off from 4:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

1. Ensure the facility is cleaned to the Foundation standard (policy 4.60), Alberta Seniors Housing Standards and assist with serving, clean-up, dishwashing and resetting of dining room tables.
2. May be responsible for Evening Supervisor duties as back-up when required/requested ($1.50 per hour differential will be paid).
3. Responsible for the cleanliness of all common areas and flooring.
4. Respond to resident incontinence and follow proper cleaning procedures as required.
5. Assist with inventory control and ordering of chemical and paper products; receiving and restocking inventory on a regular basis.
6. May have to assist with laundry duties.
7. Participate in and promote the Health and Safety Program. Report any safety issues to the Evening Supervisor or Facility Manager.
8. Demonstrate a calm and knowledgeable approach in emergency procedures.
9. Responsible to see that equipment is kept in good working order.
Req. candidate profile :
Your profile:
1. Previous housekeeping/service experience is an asset. A minimum one (1) year’s experience in a service industry is ideal.
2. Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills essential.
3. Ability to work with the seniors population and provide quality customer service is essential.
4. Must be in good health with no history of back problems due to physical nature of the work.
5. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
6. Must possess a high standard of hygiene and personal appearance.
7. Must have a flexible, willing and positive attitude.
