Serve as Senior Logistics Cost Analyst for NASA space flight projects in a systems engineering and integration environment. Apply experience and knowledge for establishing cost estimating relationships, engineering estimates, and bottoms-up analysis using automated cost models for life cycle planning and development from concept through operational fielding and disposal. Perform cost sensitivity analysis for estimating recurring and non-recurring operational costs for space craft launch vehicles. Interface with design-in-supportability and operability disciplines for population, implementation, assessment, and maintenance of existing automated cost analysis tools to influence new designs and modifications. Perform coordination with availability modeling and logistics infrastructure planners.
Job duties:
2 years of college and 12 years of experience (or any equivalent combination of education/experience of 14 years) is required. Experience with automated cost models for complex systems is required. Experience with life cycle time-phased costs is required. Experience with cost sensitivity analysis is desired. Experience with a PC and Microsoft Office is required. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, customer relation skills, and presentation skills required. Knowledge of NASA space craft launch vehicles, ground support equipment, operations, and flow processes desired. Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) data is desired.
