Generating animations for innovative missions in support of the Advanced Concepts Office. This could include but is not limited to: in-space vehicle concepts, launch vehicles, surface systems, or complete missions (robotic or human) to the moon, Mars, low-Earth orbit or any other planetary body. Develop animations using the provided 3D models or generating 3D Studio based models as needed. Develop animations varying from quick and simple to more complex and comprehensive within an allotted timeframe. Understanding and defining operational requirements and incorporating them into an animation. Researching, developing, integrating, and evaluating the mission as a whole so any problems can be identified. Participating in conceptual definition studies. Plan and perform analyses independently or as a part of a team and receive guidance from engineers to improve the accuracy and look of the animations. Organize animations, renderings and results for documentation and present to study customers.
Job duties:
A minimum of 2 years applicable experience is required. Pursuing BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Graphics Design at an accredited institution is desired. Proficiency in the 3D Studio Max tool. A good working knowledge is required with experience generating animations. Experience in developing preliminary design concepts and performing quick response trade studies of space transportation vehicle concepts is desired. Experience working in a collaborative design team environment is desired.
