Work with NASA programs to recommend and screen EEE parts for use in space radiation environments, characterize the radiation parts testing as it applies to space environments, and develop design guidelines as appropriate. Familiarity with flight project support is desired. Work independently on specific tasks, but also to contribute to group efforts and to understand the relationship between their results and the overall, system-scale engineering requirements.
Job duties:
BS degree (MS preferred) in Physics, Aerospace, or Electrical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 1 year applicable experience is required. Detailed knowledge of radiation effects and EEE parts is required. Knowledge of radiation environments and transport codes is desired. Knowledge of parts testing in radiation environments is desired. Knowledge of programming languages such as Fortran, C, IDL, etc. is desired.
