Job description
Job description: The Infrastructure Academy is a social entrepreneurial venture committed to changing the outlook for young people in Los Angeles. The Infrastructure Academy was initially convened by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in partnership with industry, labor, higher education, schools, community based organizations, and philanthropic organization.

The Infrastructure Academy is seeking an Operations Coordinator to become a key member in the management and coordination of Infrastructure Academy operations and activities.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate set-up and on-boarding of all Infrastructure Academy staff.
  • Track set-up and compliance of all Infrastructure Academy contracts.
  • Manage supplies vendor relationship to order supplies for all Infrastructure Academy sites and manage central inventory supply.
  • Coordinate all Infrastructure Academy vendor and supplier relationships.
  • Manage Infrastructure Academy general phone line and voice mail.
  • Update information in the Finance and Student Information databases.
  • Produce standard reports from the Finance and Student Information databases.
  • Manage accounting and production of all Infrastructure Academy payments.
  • Manage Infrastructure Academy expense reporting process.
  • Manage Infrastructure Academy mailers.
  • Coordinate resolution of Infrastructure Academy information technology issues.
  • Help plan, organize, and carry out special events for the Infrastructure Academy.
  • Participate and contribute to Infrastructure Academy brainstorming and planning meetings, as required.
  • Support other Infrastructure Academy operations and activities as needed.
Req. candidate profile : Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team and to manage projects in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Accounting experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
  • Fluency in Spanish desired.
  • Must be available to work some Saturdays and some evenings.
