Job description
Job description: As a member of senior staff and a member of faculty, the Dean of Admissions works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff and alumni to manage recruiting, admissions, and admissions marketing, and to utilize financial aid to attract and maintain a cohort of students who will succeed in the college’s model of student-driven learning and intensive teaching.

Primary Responsibilities of the position are to:
  • Provide vision and strategic direction for achieving enrollment goals;
  • Effectively manage the office of Admissions and coordinate strategies with the office of Financial Aid;
  • Lead the cooperative effort to expand and enhance inquiry and applicant pools, increase diversity, and to maintain and improve conversion and yield rates;
  • Provide leadership, supervision and evaluation of the office’s programs and personnel;
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Faculty, Chief Advancement Officer, Marketing Director, Dean of Students and others to focus and coordinate institutional efforts to manage enrollment, retention and graduation rates, enhance the student experience, and realistically and creatively convey Marlboro’s identity as a college that attracts and rewards responsible, creative and self-motivated students who become “citizens of Marlboro and citizens of the world.”
Req. candidate profile : Additional Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a creative, hardworking professional with outstanding writing, speaking, interpersonal, research, analytical and team-building skills, who is committed to liberal arts education and experienced at leadership in highly participatory organizations. Comprehensive knowledge of college admissions and administration and five years' experience meeting and exceeding enrollment goals is expected, as is knowledge of financial aid, student retention, the use of technology in marketing and recruitment, the ability to plan, develop strategy and formulate policy, and talent for budgeting for planned objectives. A master’s degree or extensive admissions work experience is required.
