Job description:
New York Youth At Risk is seeking a full-time Accountant/Contract Manger/Payroll Specialist to come on board for 35-40 hours per week.
Overview Of Job Responsibilities:
Perform all bookkeeping functions- including accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor management, bank reconciliations, budget management.
Interfacing with all Directors in tracking of restricted grants, including allocating expenses and month-end quality control of grant budgets.
Assist with the audit process- including preparation of necessary documents and reports and interfacing with the auditor.
Prepare and produce monthly, quarterly, yearly, and other financial reports for Board meetings.
Maintain cash receipts, bank statement files, and vendor files
Process bank deposits, and credit card transactions
Maintain cash balance for bank accounts.
Process payroll for staff and consultants, and input payroll info into Quickbooks .
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Process monthly reimbursement request forms (CAPS) from the Administration of Children Services (ACS).
Process bi-weekly payments and quarterly reports for government grants utilizing the Payment Management System (PMS).
Ability to prepare SF-269, SF-424, SF-424A forms and carryover budgets.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess the following:
B.A. in accounting and/or five years of relevant not-for-profit accounting experience.
Able to meet deadlines
Reliable
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office, Quickbooks , and/or other accounting software
Organized and detail oriented
Minimum 2 years experience with managing government grants
