Job description: RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and administer On-Campus reservations in the Student Center and Conference Center
  • Train and supervise Assistant Director of Reservations and the Coordinator of Meetings and Events
  • Manage the reservation intake procedure to maximize client satisfaction and efficient operations
  • Manage all reservation requests on a timely basis and coordinate with respective Student Center staff including Operations (maintenance, housekeeping, and beverage service); Information Booth (for posting on kiosks and notification boards); and BC security personnel
  • Manage accurate billing of fees for events in the Student Center, Conference Center, and tabling on-campus in conjunction with the Student Center’s Office of Administrative Services
  • Assess Student Center usage of scheduled events each semester
  • Develop standard operating procedures and published guidelines for Student Center and Conference Center usage, operations and client services

Supervise and administer Off-Campus reservations in the Student Center and Conference Center
  • Manage clients, reservations and scheduling of off-campus events occurring in the Student Center and Conference Center
  • Supervise the processing of licensing agreements and contracts for all off-campus events
  • Oversee service charges for events in the Student Center and Conference Center in conjunction with the Student Center’s Office of Administrative Services
  • Assess services offered by the Student Center

Coordinate Outreach and Marketing of the Brooklyn College Conference Center
  • Implement outreach and marketing strategies as indicated in the relevant marketing plans
  • Develop and monitor all online and print materials related to the Conference Center
  • Liaise with off-campus organizations through a clear articulation of the Center’s mission
  • Coordinate co-sponsored events and community events at the Student Center and Conference Center
Req. candidate profile : QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred with at least four (4) years experience in event production, hospitality management and/or facilities scheduling. At least one (1) year management experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, academic personnel and campus administrators.
