Job description
Job description: Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design & implement HIV/AIDS prevention and education intervention for adult Men who have Sex with Men (MSM)
  • Design & implement HIV/AIDS prevention and education intervention for Latino MSM (HLS)
  • Coordinate and oversee youth MSM HIV/AIDS prevention and education intervention
  • Coordinate & manage HIV/AIDS testing & counseling site
  • Responsible for all data gathering & reporting to Utah Department of Health (UDOH)
  • Direct marketing and outreach for all interventions, peer leaders, and group participants
  • Facilitate groups centered around HIV/AIDS prevention and education, healthy lifestyles
  • Volunteer recruitment, supervision, training, retention
  • Compile and provide resources and referrals to clients

Administration
  • Maintain monthly statistics on all interventions
  • Monthly, quarterly, yearly grant reporting
  • Create monthly board reports
  • Manage HIV/AIDS budget and reporting
Req. candidate profile : Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ degree in related field
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Bilingual English and Spanish – no exceptions
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of HIV/AIDS, sexual health and related issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze social and political issues related to HIV/AIDS, sexual health and sexual identity
  • Experience in a health promotion or community development setting including delivering relevant trainings and workshops and group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MSM
  • Experience with program planning & implementation
  • Direct experience (work or volunteer) within GLBT communities preferred.
  • Direct experience within the Latino GLBT and HLS communities
  • Proven ability to develop and strengthen community partnerships and participant relations
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and visual)
  • Experience fostering working relationships with key stakeholders who have diverse interests in project participation
  • Understanding of volunteer recruitment, management & retention
  • Understanding of outreach methods and ability to adapt to changing needs of community being served
