Northwest Folklife creates opportunities for individuals and communities of the Pacific Northwest to celebrate, share and sustain the vitality of folk, ethnic and traditional arts for present and future generations. Northwest Folklife carries out its mission in a variety of ways, most notably through the annual production of the free Northwest Folklife Festival.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for implementing and coordinating sponsorship strategies to secure sponsorship revenue for the annual Northwest Folklife Festival, and other events throughout the year. The Coordinator is responsible for renewing current sponsors, securing new local and regional sponsors and providing support to contract resources who will work to secure new national sponsors.
Duties include:
Updating and maintaining sponsor records; research; marketing via phone calls, email and written communication; preparing sponsorship proposals for approval; negotiations; logistics for sponsors at the Festival and other events, and; customer satisfaction surveys post-Festival.

Skills required include excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-directed and goal-oriented work ethic, ability to anticipate challenges and troubleshoot solutions, demonstrated ability to be part of a large team who are working together to execute complicated logistics, willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed, ability to plan and implement successfully, and ability to develop and manage project budgets.
