The Richmond District Neighborhood Center (RDNC) nurtures a diverse urban community by developing and providing high quality youth, adult and family programs that address critical community needs and foster respect for all people and our environment.
The Deputy Director will manage:
Partnerships:
Including strategic management of RDNC partnerships and developing and monitoring contracts and MOUs for collaborations with partner community agencies, and supervision of the RDNC’s Community Convener officer.
Financial Operations:
Work with Fiscal Director to implement annual budget development process and annual audit; review financial reports on a regular basis
Human Resources:
Including strategic management of all human services policies and activities, and supervising RDNC’s Human Resources officer.
Fund Development:
Strategic management of all foundation and corporate fundraising activities and supervising RDNC’s Fund Development officer.
Information Systems/Technology:
Including forming and leading RDNC’s IT committee (to include representatives from each program area);
Contract Compliance:
ensure compliance with and timely reporting on all RDNC contracts;
Communications & Marketing:
Work with Executive Director to provide strategic management of agency’s communications and marketing plan including supervision of RDNC’s Communications Consultant;
Supervision:
Provide direct supervision for three program directors in addition to the positions mentioned above- for a total of six direct reports.
Represents/leads agency in absence of the Executive Director
Req. candidate profile :
Skills/Experience Required:
Minimum of five years nonprofit management and administrative experience
Human Resources experience including coordinating staff training, appraisal and salary systems
Budgeting and financial management experience (someone who loves numbers)
Proven grantwriting skills & excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong supervisory experience
Ability to work well with diverse groups, sensitivity to diversity issues
Program planning, implementation and evaluation experience
Knowledge of educational and youth development issues preferred
