Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested Key Account Manager for our WorldWide Sales group for Verizon to be located within the Northeast US region.
The Key Account Manager is a field sales position accountable for strategically selling the breadth of the product line to a named strategic account across regional boundaries, as applicable. Requires a balanced sales effort involving sales/account management skills and product knowledge/problem-solving/solution skills.
Travel required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Executes the complete sales cycle at the corporate level, from generating sales leads, qualifying, coordinating sales activities and required resources for solution development, negotiating and closing. Manages the on-going account relationships, up to and including executive management. Assesses key decision-makers’ needs and develops a plan of action to meet customer needs with Andrew products and services. Maintains account presence by providing value-added services and maintaining professional relationships with key customer personnel. Understands customer’s business, technology and product requirements and appropriately matches Andrew solutions to meet customer needs. Demonstrates significant expertise in all Andrew Wireless Solutions’ products and solutions. Responsible for achieving Approved Product List (APL) status within the assigned account. Develops the strategic account plans for named accounts. Responsible for achieving revenue and profitability targets within the assigned accounts. Supports the regions in penetrating Andrew Wireless Solutions products into the regional markets for their named accounts. Participates in territory analysis and planning to enable appropriate allocation of time to accounts and customers. Assesses market opportunities and develops business plans to meet revenue objectives. Reviews revenue and demand forecasting, account planning, project planning with the regions for their named account. Provides information and reports, as required, to inform management of sales progress and success. Participates in trade shows, as assigned, to promote company products and to develop leads.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required; Technical discipline preferred; Eight (8) to ten (10) years related sales experience; Five (5) years work experience in the industry or in a related business; Superior professional presence and business acumen; Well-developed interpersonal skills enabling teamwork and clear communication; Competent in using computer applications; and Ability to work independently with little supervision.
