The Program Director will play an integral role in the Queens Women’s Business Center and as part of the Business Services team. They will directly report to the Director of Business Services. The Program Director will support all WBC programs and special projects within Business Services.
Responsibilities include:
Client Interaction
Daily counseling clients on topics related to starting and growing a business
Complete monthly client-in-take analysis
Teach workshops (evenings and some Saturdays) 3-4 times a month
With the guidance of the Business Services Director, recruit clients for specialized WBC programs
Conduct follow-up phone calls to past clients
Administrative Support
Coordinate WBC-related meetings and Business Services meetings.
Daily data entry and filing of client data after counseling sessions
Complete Quarterly reporting According to the SBA guidelines (Includes narrative and quantitative)
Other duties as assigned but limited to WBC and Business Services programmatic support.
Programmatic Support
Participate in idea brainstorming in the functioning of existing WBC programs, such as the Mentor Center, and Roundtable discussions
Test new methods and programs and measure results
Research particular topic areas that will lead to the strategy development of 2008 - 2009 programs, such as the Women’s Incubator Program
Assist in event planning and implementation particularly with regards to the 2009 Women’s Business Conference.
Marketing Support
Assist with maintaining the e-mail list
Writing, designing, and producing marketing materials, including “save-the-date” cards, emails, postcards and letters
Assist in marketing workshops, events, and programs via mailings, posting on calendars and e-mail blasts. Take the lead in mail merging of letters, printing of postcards and labels
Attend Conferences and events to promote the WBC and other Business Services programs

Education Requirements
College Degree or higher
Additional Qualifications:
One-on-One counseling or entrepreneurial experience
