Job description
Job description: The Alliance for Climate Protection, is a single-purpose organization committed to igniting public action that will help solve the climate crisis. While public awareness of climate problem is now high, a sense of urgency and solvability remain alarmingly low.

The Deputy Director for Community Partnerships will work primarily on building formal working relationships with organizations that can expand the Alliance’s reach and grow its membership. The goal is to find organizations that reach into as well as beyond traditional environmental groups and that span the cultural, political, and ideological spectrum.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Director of Partnerships and Grassroots to develop and execute partnerships and grassroots strategies on national scale
  • Manage portfolio of Alliance partnerships from start to finish, including sourcing, building relationships, crafting agreements, and managing detailed execution and reporting
  • Work closely with online, media, solutions, and other internal teams to ensure robust and consistent campaign integration
Req. candidate profile : Helpful Skills & Experience:
  • 6+ years professional experience in business management, marketing, and partnership-building; some grassroots organizing and advocacy experience
  • Experience marketing and communicating to mass audiences
  • College degree preferred; MBA valued
  • Varied experiences in different regions of the country or with diverse consumer/voter groups
  • Demonstrated ability to work with those who do not always share your cultural, political, or ideological views
  • Strong understanding of online mobilization
  • Strong strategic thinker with flawless execution skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to produce under tight deadlines and work well in a nimble, quick-paced environment
  • Excellent written, oral, and project management skills
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold high standards of respect for colleagues, partners of all backgrounds
