Job description: SUMMARY:

Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available opportunity for a Software Engineer III in our Antenna Cable Business Group located in Richardson, Texas.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Understands customer requirements and delivers results that meet customer needs.

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:
• Provides innovative resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
• Assignments have clear and specified objectives. Develops own resources to solve problems and provides imaginative solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems. Assumes responsibility for a definable portion of a project.
• Performs design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications. Assignments include development of new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. Duties include designing application, writing code, completing programming, developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results.

FREEDOM TO ACT WITHIN TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE:
• Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions;
• Completes assigned tasks with minimal supervision;
• Work is periodically reviewed for application of professional judgment;
• Assistance is furnished on unusual problems
• Evaluates selects and applies standard engineering techniques, processes and criteria.
• Work impacts business unit goals.

COMMUNICATIONS:
• Contacts are primarily internal with occasional customer and supplier contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• BSEE or related four (4) year technical degree with coursework in control theory, digital signal processing, and communications theory;
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of work experience in control theory, digital signal processing, and communications theory; Good time management skills;
• Must possess good oral/written communication skills; and
• Able to effectively work on project teams consisting of departmental and/or cross-functional personnel.
