| Job description: |
Defining, establishing and managing the processes and standards needed to achieve certification of Unmanned Air Vehicle systems by the FAA, U.S. Department of Defense and foreign aviation regulatory agencies.
Represent the company in an emerging UAV regulatory environment including participation in government / industry groups currently developing UAV airworthiness and operational regulations.
Develop certification processes and plans that meet the emerging requirements.
Also responsible for establishing a flight crew standards and training program compliant with emerging military, civilian and international requirements for UAV's.
Responsible for managing compliance.
Represent the company to all regulatory boards and agencies during certification, inspection and audit processes.
Develop certification plans and manage the process to obtain certifications for the company's UAV systems.

| Req. candidate profile : |
Bachelors Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Physics required.
Masters degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering or technical management preferred.
Minimum 10 years engineering experience. Minimum 5 years experience working on aircraft certification.
Working knowledge of and experience with FAA and / or military airworthiness and operational regulations.
Unmanned air vehicle development or operational experience a plus but not required.
Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Self-starter, results oriented and creative individual desired.
Additional Information:
FAA Airman Certificate - Private Pilot required. Instrument rating desired.
U.S. citizen with or capable of maintaining a U.S. security clearance.
