Manage cash flow to ensure timely preparation of invoices and manage bill payments to maintain adequate bank account reserves
Prepare management reports and assist with annual budget
Invoice preparation and tracking of expenditures for state and federal grants
Enter all accounting transactions into Quickbooks system, maintain required documentation, and work with CPA to prepare annual tax returns.
Financial report preparation, workers compensation reports, preparation and entry of payroll into ADP PayExpert system, 403b plan administration, AP and AR functions.
Perform bank account reconciliations and prepare deposits
Provide human resources administrative support as required
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
Nonprofit accounting experience is REQUIRED!
Minimum 2 years full-time accounting experience at a nonprofit organization
College degree in accounting, business, or equivalent experience
Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
Very high ethical standards and the ability to work independently and show initiative
Familiarity with the following software: Quickbooks Premier Edition, Excel, Word, Outlook Express, FileMaker Pro. Experience with ADP's PayExpert system is helpful.
