Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested, and available Telecommunications Technician III for an opportunity located in Yuma, Arizona.
Position Summary:
This position performs EMI/EMC field testing support of military systems for the Joint Spectrum Center or DOD sponsoring agent at the Yuma Proving Grounds.
Essential Job Functions:
• Performs in-field and off-site Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and / or Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing of military systems and subsystems in accordance with test plans developed by senior level engineers or project managers.
• Operates spectrum analyzers and miscellaneous RF testing equipment to measure RFI technical parameters in both laboratory and real world test environments.
• Runs utility software programs in support of testing activities.
• Collects data and develops standard documentation in support of testing activities.
• Maintains and ensures field-related EMI/EMC measurement equipment is in proper operating condition.
• Identifies required EMI/EMC field equipment to meet test plan requirements developed by project manager or Test Engineers; ensures equipment is available and operational; and creates test equipment contingency plans in case of equipment failure that could result in EMI/EMC schedule delays.
Education and Experience:
Education/Training:
• Associates degree or equivalent technical degree / certifications
• Minimum Secret Security Clearance.
Required Experience:
• 6+ years experience in performing EMI/EMC field testing.
• Experience in performing EMI / EMC Field Measurements for military systems.
• Strong Window PC skills and MS Office products used when creating Test Reports.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
