As Infrastructure Manager you will develop, streamline, and document process requirements to maximize materials flow so as to better integrate operations, production, inventory, sales, and finance departments. Your expertise in software and program development for improving operating efficiency should be coupled with a business acumen that enables you to see the big picture. Your communications skills will help you write third-party support provider specifications as you drive the project direct, guide and increase support and reliance on outsourced partners. Responsibilities Analysis and assessment of the organization’s current operations, business needs as well as IT and information systems support Develop infrastructure improvement plans and documentation for internal teams and outsourced partners Creating a scalable and flexible system Project planning and logistics Getting everyone “on the same page.” Establish the architecture for integrating warehouse, inventory management, production, distribution, finance, and sales for the easy sharing of data among all departments and partners Developing database logic to reduce human interpretation Create means for data entry / reporting anywhere, anytime (via Web interfaces) Handle overall IT administration and technical support in a rapidly growing, dynamic environment RFP third-party provider specification development Configure end-to-end monitoring on performance and availability of systems as well as applications, internally and with our outsourced partners Develop performance measurement criteria Meet data quality requirements Network production operations, inventory and systems in multiple remote locations around the US. Upgrade security and disaster recovery requirements Recommend hardware and software to meet the company’s needs Help develop and maintain the systems administration budget Develop network storage requirements Provide concise reports and recommendations to the CEO |
| Job duties: | Qualifications
3-5 years experience in developing and managing IT systems and administration, ideally in a production or manufacturing environment First-hand experience in supporting and directing the system needs of a small to mid-sized company Experience in streamlining systems A track record of success in systems integration and administration for a growing operation Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems Strong team leadership and mentoring skills Proficient in a Windows Server environment Experience managing and training support technical and non-technical personnel ISO background or understanding preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Microsoft Access, Excel and Word proficiency required Knowledge of computer hardware is highly desirable. Experience with e-commerce structures and shipping modules helpful. Education Requirements B.S. degree or technical institute degree in industrial engineering, IT systems engineering and administration, manufacturing systems, computer science or equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications. |
