The Marketing Manager will work with the Communications Director to help implement Rock the Vote’s 2008 marketing strategy; including but not limited to:
Identifying and securing corporate sponsors for a range of Rock the Vote programs. Drafting sponsorship proposals based on creative thinking and strategic opportunities for win-win partnerships.
Working with program staff across the organization to develop creative marketing strategies that drive young people online to Rock the Vote to register to vote.
Working with corporate partners to develop creative marketing strategies that showcase the RTV brand and drive young people online to register to vote.
Overseeing merchandising, including working with relevant staff across departments and managing vendor contracts and relationships.
Supporting involvement in events and marketing programs that further the brand and that drive young people to register to vote. (i.e. national debates, inauguration, conventions, etc.)
Supporting the advertising campaign development process.
Performing other duties as necessary and assist with special projects when requested.

Qualifications:
Superior writing and communications skills
3+ years working in marketing and/or event planning
Self-starter with team orientation
Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously
