Job description
Job description: School & Main Institute is a nationally recognized training and partnership development organization. We help organizations work together across institutional lines or in “uncommon” coalitions, to improve their communities and the lives of young people living in them.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coaching and technical assistance with a wide range of state and local partners engaged in workforce development, education reform and youth development collaborations
  • Facilitation of strategic planning events/retreats and related content-based training
  • Relationship building with staff from state and local partnership efforts
  • Materials development, e.g. planning tools, meeting agendas, and documentation of meeting notes
Req. candidate profile : The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Content knowledge in workforce preparation, education reform, youth development and/or community mobilization
  • Effective program planning and project management skills
  • Outstanding facilitation and training skills
  • Strong skills and experience in facilitating successful strategic planning efforts
  • The versatility to be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Vision and detail orientation, strong communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills.

Qualifications include:
  • Masters Degree in a related discipline
  • A minimum of ten years of experience working in identified areas
  • A history of working with community-based partnerships
  • Extensive knowledge of education reform, workforce preparation and/or community development efforts and approaches, especially in the areas of youth services
  • Demonstrated skill in facilitating and achieving consensus outcomes among diverse stakeholders.
