This position will serve as primary contact between The HSUS and current and prospective corporate partners and is responsible for pursuing opportunities to develop new corporate relationships that advance programmatic goals and generate revenue for The HSUS. The position reports to the Deputy Director.
JOB DUTIES:
Corporate Outreach and Prospecting
Explore opportunities for new corporate relationships by researching categories, identifying corporate prospects, cold-calling, and creating sales presentations
Identify potential product categories for strategic alliances, licensing, sponsorship and cause-related marketing
Qualify potential partners
Contact prospects to explore opportunities and generate leads
Respond to inquiries for new corporate relationships and evaluate potential
Work with Deputy Director to negotiate relationships and draft contracts
Relationship Management
Manage launch of corporate relationships; review, approve, and coordinate promotion and fulfillment of benefits
Coordinate all aspects of product review in tandem with other departments
Oversee contract administration, royalty/fee payment and royalty reporting functions
Assist in monitoring, evaluating, measuring and reporting on programs’ usefulness and profitability
Work with current partners to build programs and improve penetration, identify new distribution channels, and determine profitability
Set up and conduct status review meetings with partners and negotiate program renewals
Upsell relationships to support additional HSUS initiatives

Additional Qualifications:
Some successful sales experience
Five or more years of experience in cause-related marketing or related field
Some experience with sponsorship/licensing contracts a plus
Must feel comfortable cold-calling and qualifying prospects, and preparing and making presentations
Must be well-organized and able to manage multiple corporate relationships
Excellent written and verbal skills required
Working functionality with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
