Job description: Responsibilities:

Develop and implement policies, procedures and plans designed to effectively deliver program services to the community; research, plan, develop and implement new programs within the Community Engagement Department; recruit, train and evaluate the performance of staff. Create a high functioning team to support the work of volunteers in the SHIBA and SRA Programs; develop and manage the recruitment, orientation, supervision and retention of program volunteers; prepare annual budget; monitor and assure compliance with contractual obligations. Monitor monthly financial reports generated by Senior Services; collect and report, in a timely manner, all data and other performance measurements of program activities required by funding sources; oversee outreach and marketing efforts for SRA, SHIBA, Mazuma and any new programs. Represent Community Engagement by participating on committees and task forces in the community; other duties and projects, as needed, assigned, or required.
Req. candidate profile : Additional Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree in gerontology, sociology, community organization, social work, public or business administration or related field. A minimum of four years comparable experience in program management may be substituted for a degree.
  • At least three years of program development or management experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Two years of paid or volunteer experience working in social service field.
  • One year experience working with volunteers. .
  • Proficient with MS Office: Excel, Access, Word, Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds..
  • Valid WA State Drivers’ License and access to insured vehicle in order to supervise off-site volunteers, attend meetings, and make community presentations.
