Program Associates work one-on-one with partner organizations to build sound organizational infrastructure, increase internal capacity, and position each partner organization for long-term self-sustainability. Our capacity building service areas are: Financial Management & Analysis, Fundraising, Board Development, Program Evaluation & Monitoring, Outreach & Communications, Leadership Development, Strategic Planning and Human Resources & Accountability.
Program Associate Duties:
Work with Executive Directors and Boards of Directors of community-based organizations through a year long capacity building partnership, providing individualized guidance in our eight core service areas
Design and develop quarterly roundtables, facilitating peer learning and networking opportunities for our partner organizations
Represent Fair Chance in DC Wards 5-8 and build our visibility with community residents, community leaders and the non profit organizations serving children and youth
Monitor and evaluate the growth and effectiveness of Fair Chance and our partnering organizations
Develop a detailed plan with each partner to support the partnership agreement.
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community groups
Professional and/or academic experience in finance/accounting; experience with nonprofit financial management/analysis
3-5 years experience working in the nonprofit sector
3-5 years experience providing organizational development support to nonprofit organizations and leaders
Training and facilitation experience
Experience working in underserved communities (preferably in Washington DC)
Project Management experience.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or MPA in Nonprofit Management degree preferred.
