Job description
Job description: The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) is a nonprofit organization advancing energy efficiency in nine Midwestern states. To accomplish this MEEA identifies, designs, administers and evaluates utility or state-based efficiency programs that promote sustainable economic development and environmental preservation through incentives and training programs offered to the consumers and professionals in order to get efficient technologies or best practices into homes and businesses.


Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

Assist in Program Administration(40%)

Coordinate various aspects of the program area assigned and provide valuable support, including program tracking and reporting, marketing, materials development, and client or implementer interaction.

Support in Program Research(30%)

Assist Managers in the research of ‘best practice’ efficiency programs as well as the design and roll-out of specific programs, providing basic research and draft reports for current programs, and basic research for future MEEA programs.

Provide Budgeting Support(10%)

Work with Manager and Finance Department to manage and track bills and payments to ensure proper budgeting for projects.

MEEA Support(20%)

Assist in other program and MEEA related activities, including preparation for meetings, workshops and annual conference.
Req. candidate profile : PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency is preferred and interest in this field is essential;
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (environmental studies/science, engineering, operations, political science or economics)
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a professional environment (internships are appropriate);
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of ACT! a plus);
  • Excellent writing and research skills;
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to take initiative and ability to research and solve problems;
  • Self motivated, ability to prioritize multiple demands, with a willingness to learn.
