Job description
Job description: The Case Manager will work with a diverse population of youth and adults at the Center, providing all students with intensified career planning, programming, and activities for project based learning. The Case Manager will work closely with the Regional DIrector to ensure that all activities are integrated with the overall mission and curriculum of the Center.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide initial assessment of students’ ability and knowledge levels surrounding career and life skills and orient new students to the program.
  • Administer career interest inventories to all program participants.
  • Conduct classes covering employment and life skills.
  • Conduct one-on-one training covering employment and life skills.
  • Participate in the long term planning of employability training and curriculum development.
  • Maintain relationships with local businesses and ensure a listing of employment openings is available for participants.
  • Act as a job coach to employed youth.
  • Maintain relationships with local education agencies and use these relationships to facilitate client access.
  • Provide field trips to business and institutions of higher education for ap propriate students.
  • Assist the Regional Coordinator in ensuring that students access all community resources as required.
  • Involve the parents of youth participants in their progress through regular workshops and informational presentations.
  • Maintain contact and involve parents of clients who are youth to the maximum extent possible.
  • Complete required program documentation as required by federal reporting authority and/or Project Director and/or Project Evaluator.
  • In collaboration with the Regional Coordinator, provide seminars to participants utilizing a Speakers Bureau in areas surrounding career and life skills.
  • Additional duties assigned.
Req. candidate profile : Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience working with a multi-cultural population of young people and adults.
  • Excellent leadership and/or teaching skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Motivated self starter
  • Appropriate Baccalaureate degree required with a minimum of two years related work experience.
  • A sense of humor a plus.
