| Job description: | Responsibilities:
The ReStore Director is accountable for maintaining a positive, motivated, and energetic relationship with donors, customers, and volunteer staff and for increasing revenue for affiliate operations. The successful candidate will join a highly-motivated team, be responsible for the overall business performance, as well as manage the acquisition, marketing and sale of donated, used and surplus building materials. Responsible for marketing the store to increase awareness, increasing donations and customer traffic, establishing contacts throughout the community, preparing and monitoring budgets, recording and acknowledging donations, and providing written reports to direct supervisor. Will also manage and coordinate deconstruction process, staff, and volunteers to salvage materials for resale in the ReStore. Will train, supervise, and develop all paid staff, volunteers and community service workers helping in the ReStore. |
| Req. candidate profile : | Qualifications:
College degree preferred, with minimum 3 years demonstrated job-related experience, including retail sales management. Must have friendly personality, be a self-motivated team-player, have an understanding of business management, home improvement items, budgeting, labor laws, familiarity with QuickBooks, and demonstrable computer skills. Candidates must be able to physically participate in activities necessary to the operation of the ReStore, including moving materials, lifting at least 50 pounds, able to ssemble and disassembe materials, work collaboratively with a diverse population, and committed to the mission of equal opportunity employer Wichita Habitat for Humanity. |
