Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Quality Engineer for an opportunity located in Euless, Texas.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE : Completes routine engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks. Performs work involving conventional plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are procedures. Works on definable portions of projects. Assignments typically are designed to further develop professional work knowledge and abilities. Work assignments will focus on ensuring process capability, control and improvement by developing procedures and interpreting standards for defined product line or facility. Develops the application of tools, methods and systems to ensure continuous performance improvements. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially or finished material/product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and product equipment. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to determine responsibilities. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Work will require the application of standard practices and techniques in specific situations, the adjustment and correlation of data, recognition of discrepancies in results and following operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes to resolve problems of limited scope.
KNOWLEDGE: General knowledge and limited application of standard principles, theories and concepts within field of specialization to carry out a sequence of related tasks.
REEDOM TO ACT WITHIN TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE: Assignments have clear, specific objectives and require investigation of a limited number of variables. Work is screened and techniques/procedures are recommended by supervisor. Relies on supervisor less for direct supervision and more for guidance and applies limited judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections of adaptations of engineering alternatives =
IMPACT: Success of tasks impacts assigned projects.
COMMUNICATION: Contacts are primarily internal with occasional customer and supplier contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree in engineering with specific course work in the quality sciences (e.g., Statistical Process Control [SPC], Compliance Engineering, Supplier Relations); Two (2) to four (4) years of related quality/reliability/product development engineering experience
-Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts Working knowledge of ISO quality standards
-Excellent oral and written communications skills
-Demonstrated experience in writing reports is desirable
-High proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, statistical and presentation software
-The ability to work in a team environment and a high level of self-motivation
EQUIPMENT OPERATION: Personal Computer and various measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, verniers, etc.)
TRAVEL: Possible travel to other Andrew locations and customer sites.
