Job description
Job description: Major tasks include management of unit turnover, including rehab, administration of rent collections, maintenance requests, resident intake, waiting list, re-certifications, computer input, monthly reports and oversight of property budget, general repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate HOPWA Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program, including supervision of Assistant Property Manager/TBRA Program Coordinator.
  • Collect monthly rents from residents; notify tenants of any delinquencies/credits, and take action to collect all monies owed.
  • Intake Residents and lease apartments in accordance with the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan and Tenant Selection Criteria. Maintain Waiting list.
  • Process all move-in, annual, and interim certifications on the computer.
  • Prepare and submit monthly billing to HUD electronically.
  • Identify maintenance problems requiring contractor work; select and supervise contractors working in building.
  • Process all invoices for payment by main office.
  • Complete monthly accounting closeout and opening.
  • Supervise Assistant Property Manager, Building Engineer, and Maintenance Worker
Req. candidate profile : Additional Qualifications:
  • Associate Property Manager (IREM) certification required, and able to become a candidate for Certified Property Manager.
  • Familiarity with HUD assisted housing funding strongly preferred.
  • Spanish/English bilingual a plus.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural widely diverse environment.
  • Bacherlors degree required.
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
  • Experience working with low-income households living with HIV/AIDS, homelessness, substance abuse/recovery, and mental health issues preferred.
