Population Services International (PSI) seeks a part-time Washington, DC-based intern to support the Contracts Department for the Summer Semester and possibly into the Fall Semester. This department provides contractual support and guidance to PSI's social marketing programs in over 60 countries around the world. PSI offers flexible working hours and a dynamic, creative, and progressive work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain contracts department electronic and hard copy filing systems current and archived;
Assist in file management by disposing of project files older than 10 years;
Photocopying, faxing, and scanning;
Compile materials and prepare refreshments for training sessions and other meetings;
Assist in gathering information to close out contracts and grants that have ended;
Work with Contracts Analysts to follow up on asset lists, VAT reporting and other information requested from the PSI field offices;
Set up phone codes for individual employees and projects as needed;
Assist with Lawson data input includes project setup and modifications;
Conduct internet research as needed; and
Other duties and special projects as required and requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to assume varied responsibilities on short notice within designated deadlines. The intern must be detail oriented, organized, proficient in Word, Powerpoint and Excel, and have excellent communication skills. A stipend commensurate with the candidate’s experience and education level will be provided.
