Job description
Job description: Generational Alliance (GA), a project of the Tides Center, is a national collaborative network that connects youth and student organizations, across sector and issue, to build a long-term, strategic and integrated movement for social change.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead GenVote partners in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of GenVote activities.
  • Build out the GenVote internal communications and coordination infrastructure
  • Bottom-line production of and/or consolidation of promotional and educational materials and resources.
  • Develop and manage the GenVote external media/communications plan.
  • Coordinate conference calls and in-person meetings/convenings.
  • Reach out to and build relationships with community-based organizations in target communities to participate in local trainings, strategy sessions and weeks of action.
  • Provide coordination/outreach support to GenVote partners carrying out voter education and mobilization activities.
  • Cultivate knowledge of tools and technologies to increase constituent engagement.
  • Provide assistance to students and community-based organizations participating in GenVote activities.
  • Promote GenVote at targeted events and conferences and as a media spokesperson.
  • Report regularly to GenVote Coordinating Committee with written documentation of results.
Req. candidate profile : Qualification Requirements:
  • Experience in electoral organizing or training
  • Some experience with voter data management systems preferred
  • Outgoing, self motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in directing alliance or coalition efforts
  • Strong skills in group facilitation and coordination
  • General understanding of federal 501(C)3 laws
  • Able to track a lot of moving parts and manage complex projects.
  • Experience working in multiple communities, especially low-income communities of color.
