Responsibilities:
Ø Oversee the management of sourcing and supplier relationship programs on a global level and ensure alignment with significant customers (countries and business units) is achieved within $1B budget.
Ø Responsible for providing strategic direction to group of over one dozen sourcing and vendor management professionals and has oversight of supporting policies, programs and systems functions.
Ø Lead the most complex, global sourcing initiatives.
Ø Establish and reinforce a clear vision, marketing the Global Procurement Department's services to senior leadership, and establishing strategic performance goals (savings, managed spend).
Ø Drive performance by identifying and managing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Ø Network with global, area, country and business unit leadership to identify major opportunities for collaborative sourcing initiatives.
Ø Assume a leadership role in all major sourcing initiatives and serve as a champion for sourcing leaders.
Ø Drive technology and process improvement strategy by sponsoring programs that will increase effectiveness of sourcing professionals and increase efficiencies with suppliers, internal customers, and financial systems.
Ø Ensure compliance to the firm's Strategic Sourcing Process in accordance with the Procurement Policy.
Ø Responsible for annual budgets, driving charge back mechanisms to internal customers and substantiating the value vs. cost to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Ø Strong marketing, teaming, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills to ensure alignment with all major internal customers and to provide strategic direction to a team of procurement professionals.
Ø Knowledge of strategic trends in the major industries they support and subsequently develop and implement sourcing strategies accordingly.
Ø Expertise in procurement and the supporting tools, metrics and best practices.
Ø Leadership as premier sourcing professional, receiving little direction from senior leadership when developing global strategy and organizational realignment.
Ø Ability to work independently in managing seasoned procurement professionals, the sourcing process and vendor management components of their team.
Ø Experience with the training and development of sourcing leaders to develop their leadership, strategy development and people management skills.
Ø Recommend the selection and be responsible for the performance management of sourcing leaders and supporting organizational teams.
Ø Ability to lead and develop individuals and teams by using people management processes and tools that involve staffing, training, supervising, coaching, and performance management to achieve optimal performance.
Ø BA and MBAA or equivalent experience.
Ø Over 15 years business experience with 10 years in procurement.
Ø CPM – Certified Purchasing Manager a +
Ø Specific preference is given to candidates with industry expertise in: Professional Services (contracts, labor, marketing, real estate, printing, supplies, etc.), Travel, and IT commodities (hardware, software, software licensing, telecom, etc.)
