The mission of Father Bills & MainSpring is to help homeless people obtain a home by giving temporary shelter and food, finding safe and affordable housing, and providing permanent housing with supportive services. Father Bills & MainSpring helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to achieve self-sufficiency.
Father Bills & MainSpring is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide business development expertise, strategic financial management resources, oversight of the financial management and accounting function, and perspective in regard to mission, goals and direction of the organization.
The CFO reports to the President/CEO of Father Bills & Mainspring and oversees and directs all financial operations of the organization and its programs. The CFO will advise the CEO with respect to financial conditions and trends of the organization and develop the financial structure and reporting for new programs.
Areas of responsibility/oversight include:
Accounting and controls, financial reporting, annual audits, budgets, payroll, grants, human resources, insurance, tax, contract compliance, investment management, property acquisitions and banking relationships. Working with the senior management team, the successful candidate will ensure best practices in nonprofit financial management and that accounting and administrative systems are operating efficiently and maintained effectively.

Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate holds an advanced degree and/or CPA certification as well as 5 or more years of progressive non-profit managerial experience with a proven record of handling banking, contractor, and investment and management relationships. Experience in a social services environment is highly desirable. Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
