Independently plan, schedule and perform computations/analyses, prepare and make presentations and document results in technical reports. Will perform structural dynamic analyses in support of the design and design verification of rocket propulsion systems and flight vehicles. Will analyze complex features of the work and apply principles and practices of structural analysis, or devise new approaches in problem solutions. Will thoroughly review all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented. Will follow existing processes and procedures and recommend process improvements where appropriate.

| Job duties: |
BS degree (MS preferred) from an ABET accredited institution in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics with an emphasis in solid mechanics and a minimum of 14 years of experience is required. A BS degree and equivalent experience in another engineering discipline will also be considered. A minimum of 14 years experience in the classical vibrations and dynamics of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element based methods is required. Familiarity with space flight vehicles, ground support equipment, and rocket propulsion system components is desired. Experience with the application of the finite element method to perform random vibration, coupled loads, and vibroacoustic analysis is very desirable, as well as, experience in dynamics testing. Experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, MATLAB, and PCSIGNAL is desired. Excellent communication skills are required. |
