Several Dancers Core, a professional dance organization, creates, performs, and presents contemporary dance. CORE Performance Company, the professional contemporary dance company of Several Dancers Core, focuses on the ongoing development of the artistic process through the creation of new work. Made up of individual artists, the company performs new choreography that evolves through experimentation, improvisation, and collaborations with artists from different mediums.
Responsible for the development and execution of the income generating strategies (earned and contributed) needed to advance the mission, programs, goals, health and stability of Several Dancers Core.
Principal responsibilities:
- Major Gift Prospect Cultivation and Solicitation
- Annual Fundraising Campaign
- Corporate Sponsorship and Support
- Special Events
- Grants
- Earned Revenue
- Development Infrastructure
- Resource Development with Board of Directors

| Req. candidate profile : |
Additional Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited college or university in Arts Administration, Marketing, Entertainment, Business, or Performance-based undergraduate or graduate program; or a minimum of three-years experience in development for nonprofit organizations;
- Ability to conceive, plan, and execute a multifaceted institutional giving program for a performing arts organization;
- Experience with grant writing for nonprofit organizations;
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities, while meeting all deadlines;
- Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as strong oral communication;
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred;
- Candidates with knowledge of dance, performing and/or visual arts will be given serious consideration.
