Core responsibilities include:
Program Management:
- Beneficiary identification and evaluation;
- Regional grant management;
- Oversight of regional fundraising events;
- Facilitating technical assistance workshops for our beneficiaries;
- Organize and implement regional advocacy plan including community town hall meetings focused on improving the learning environment;
- Financial and regional office management including budget development, planning, and allocation (in coordination with Senior Program Officer); and
- National program initiatives as needed.
Athlete Management:
- Recruit local professional athletes to join the All Stars network (in coordination with All Stars National Office);
- Plug athletes into local programming including town hall meetings, opportunities with beneficiaries, fundraising events, etc.;
- For select number of core athletes, play an active role in developing and executing a philanthropic program on their behalf including but not limited to all activities related to grant distribution (financial reporting, donor correspondence/tracking, program reporting); and
- Serve as a philanthropic operations and education programming resource for affiliate athletes.
Corporate and Private Outreach:
- Establish and manage a local advisory board of corporate executives and community leaders;
- Cultivate corporate sponsorships and individual support for regional activities;
- Connect corporate partners with All Stars beneficiaries via volunteer opportunities and program initiatives; and
- Coordinate outreach efforts with All Stars National Office.

| Req. candidate profile : |
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least three years experience in the non-profit world i.e. Foundations, CBOs, community relations departments, etc.; minimum of five years of total experience
- Background or interest in improving education in low-income communities
- Background or interest in sports
- Team player with excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
- Entrepreneurial/Self-Starter/Relentless Achiever
- Ability to act at both strategic and tactical levels
- Superior organizational, project management, and communication (written and oral) abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment with a proven ability to meet and complete multiple deadlines and tasks
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree
- Event management experience a plus
- Experience managing volunteers a plus
