The Receptionist is a full-time position, functioning as the organization’s initial contact for the general public and handling various administrative responsibilities such as internal communications, opening/closing the facility, and School-related operations. The position reports to the School Assistant Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests to the facility and ensure proper sign-in
Answer multi-line phone system and route incoming calls and messages
Monitor incoming and outgoing mail and packages and notify appropriate staff
Presort incoming mail and provide internal distribution
Monitor public areas, to ensure a supportive environment for parents and children
Handle registration payments and other financial transactions
Update and collect daily staff sign-in sheet
Provide clerical support for School staff
Responsible for opening up and closing the building, including setting temperatures, lights, unlocking/locking studios, turning the alarm on/off
Act as a representative for Ballet Hispanico to the general public.
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications / Skills:
Gracious and professional phone manner
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (Windows environment)
Fluency in Spanish is desired
Experience in office administration
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, noise-filled environment
