Job description
Job description: This exciting position is focused on Boston’s urban core and includes all metro Boston neighborhoods and Chelsea. The focus of this position is to extend and retain Girl Scout membership for both girls and volunteers.

Some of your responsibilities would include:
  • Acting as a Team Leader for specific Membership team; supervises and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of designated Membership & Marketing Specialists.
  • Planning, promoting, and implementing Girl Scout recruitment and outreach programs to increase girl members and adult volunteers; including planning registrations, organizing troops, and setting up parent meetings.
  • Maintaining community profiles, memberships and demographics; assessing the needs of underserved populations and ensuring that Girl Scouting is extended to all girls within the area.
  • Establishing and maintaining community contacts to support adult/girl membership; collaborating with community groups & organizations to drive volunteer recruitment and resource sharing opportunities for girls.
  • Working with membership teams to develop strategic plans for establishing Girl Scouting opportunities throughout the Council jurisdiction and working to ensure pluralism and cultural diversity in all Council projects/programs.
Req. candidate profile : To qualify for this position, you must have the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years of Human Service experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Boston and its neighborhoods
  • Knowledge of Girl Scout program and principles and guidelines
  • Knowledge of volunteer systems and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and strong planning and implementation skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Valid driver’s license and access to motor vehicle
