The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions (the Federation) is a nonprofit association of over 225 credit unions serving low-income communities throughout the United States. Our Community Development Investment program helps community development credit unions (CDCUs) throughout the country in fulfilling their mission of supplying financial products and services to underserved, low-income members.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Community Development Investments and supervising a Portfolio Associate. The position involves managing a portfolio of several hundred different investments in credit unions; underwriting and making recommendations on applications for deposits, loans, and grants; assisting in marketing the program to funders; preparing reports to funders; and communication with member CDCUs.
Req. candidate profile :
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong financial, analytical, and communication skills, coupled with a commitment to the empowerment of low-income and minority communities. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA and/or additional professional training is highly desirable. A minimum of three years of finance-related experience is required. Knowledge of and/experience in credit unions, banking, or investments is extremely desirable.
Fluency in Word, Excel, Power Pointand other office software. Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
