Job description
Job description: In collaboration with the Director of Education and Education Programs Leader, provide management and direct oversight of the implementation of K to College Model programs.

Performance Responsibilities:

Direct Support function:
  • Ensuring quality control over all aspects of the program
  • Problem solving known or unanticipated program issues
  • Providing service delivery as needed

Program Maintenance function:
  • Facilitating the development and implementation of students’ individual development plans
  • Providing leadership, direction, and support to program staff/volunteers
  • Supporting enrolled students and families
  • Maintaining or adjusting for deviations to the normal programming schedule
  • Supporting external service providers, partners
  • Distributing and collecting program data/information
  • Ensure program components are delegated to appropriate staff
  • Adapting/translating content for identified student populations
  • Identifying instructional curricula and program supplies
  • Assist in recruiting, orienting, enrolling, and supporting new students, staff, and volunteers
  • Facilitating field experiences/off-site learning for students

Program Development function:
  • Collaborating with Emily K staff to establish/revise program processes and procedures and create new programming initiatives
  • Identifying and integrating new service providers
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of the next programming phase
Req. candidate profile : Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in education and teacher certification strongly preferred
  • Evidence of leadership and program management skills, including development, maintenance, and direct support of varied program components and initiatives
  • Experience in coordinating programs for diverse and low socio-economic student and adult populations, including Spanish-speaking families
  • Minimum of five years of professional teaching or equivalent experience, including:
  • Documented success in multiple and varied educational settings
  • Leadership of staff and/or volunteers
  • Development of curriculum/ educational programs/initiatives
  • Direct instruction in individual, small, and large group settings
  • Administration/interpretation of standardized assessment measures
  • Collaboration with teachers and school administrators
  • Expertise in North Carolina proficiency and graduation requirements
