Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of accounting in five countries
Determine accounting and tax treatment for complex transactions
Assist outside accountants in performing annual audit and ensuring all tax returns are filed
Prepare monthly financials by consolidating five trial balances, quarterly comparison to budget and five month cash flow projections
Prepare annual budgets and sales forecasts
Maintain measures of labor costs to help the marketing department set pricing
Be responsive to ad hoc requests that require financial reports, employee information and/or financial expertise for team assistance
Assist compliance firm in ensuring compliance with Securities regulatory authorities in all five countries
Manage the complex aspects of client contracts
Supervise and review the work of two to three bookkeepers
Manage all benefit plan matters
Req. candidate profile :
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Accounting
Six years experience – at least three as a controller assuming the other three are as a CFO or in public accounting
Experience determining accounting treatment for complex transactions with your own research, skills and knowledge, with minimal support from outside professionals
Experience managing the accounting of foreign entities and performing consolidations
Experience with SEC and/or FSA compliance helpful
Experience reviewing, invoicing and accounting for complex, multi-month contracts for clients in several countries
